- before rolling out any process, think and define
- purpose (what winning looks like)
- principle (what are the rules, constraints)
- practices (what will make us win, given the principles)
- Build a decision log
- some reports are not good at making decisions, while they get ‘busy’ involved in decisions. A decision log helps to clear which decision belongs them, which one belongs to team
- ’OK, Who does what?’ is a good close-up question for discussion meetings, track those answers and follow up. Given an agreed outcomes, force people to think on what they need to do next.
- Follow up on your follow-ups (turtles all the way down). ‘Where are we on X, and what are we doing about it’ creates some good conversations around hard-talk topics.
